Re: Amazon partnership with Flock – you have the option to share through Community Request – a publicly announced feature. However Ring still needs to comply if law enforcement subpoenas your video footage through them (which they have access to since videos are not end to end encrypted by default) – you cant control how much will be shared when they comply. With the partnership, Flock will have access to this footage too.
On the other hand, if it was a local footage, you can challenge a video footage subpoena by filling a motion to quash or modify it and limit the scope. And you video wont automatically bed passed through Amazon or Flock for processing
