- Pose as: officials or agents of government agencies such as the IRS, Social Security Administration, or law enforcement.
- Common scams: claims of unpaid taxes, legal violations, or eligibility for government benefits.
Always reach out directly to the service provider through their official channels – such as their main website instead of interacting with the message / call.
